Welcome to 2009 Stand Against MS

Multiple sclerosis affects families.
Multiple sclerosis affects children too.
This is why we are taking a Stand Against MS.

On Saturday, May 30, families all over the area hosted lemonade stands to raise awareness and funds for MS. By Getting neighborhoods, schools, businesses, churches, friends and family involved we took a Stand Against MS!

Read about Sammy, a student at Miramar Ranch Elementary School, who is taking a stand against his father's MS.

When you raise funds to create a world free of MS, you can earn great prizes! Check out the WINNERS!

Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the body and stops people from moving. At least two to three times more women than men have been diagnosed, typically in the prime-of-life years, ages 20-50, though an estimated 8,000-10,000 children under the age of 18 also live with MS.

About the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Locally, the Pacific South Coast Chapter provides programs and services designed to help the 18,000 people and families affected by MS in San Diego, Orange and Imperial counties move their lives forward. Additionally, nearly $4 million is spent on MS research in our area annually. We are people who want to do something about MS NOW. Take a Stand Against MS today.
